Chapadao de Pipa is the highest point in the area — and from up there, you understand the geography of everything. A 360-degree view of the coastline, cliffs, bay and the endless Atlantic. The place that makes any traveler stop, breathe deep and realize where they are.
What You See from the Viewpoint
From Chapadao, the view encompasses Praia do Amor, Baia dos Golfinhos, Praia do Centro and the cliffs stretching toward Madeiro. On a clear day you can see the green patches of the Ecological Sanctuary and the blue Atlantic horizon merging with the sky. One of the few places where you see all of Pipa at once.
The Full Moon Spectacle
Chapadao has become a pilgrimage point on full moon nights. When the moon rises large and orange over the ocean, the spectacle silences any conversation. The phenomenon is best on the night of the full moon and the night before — arrive 30 minutes before moonrise. Ask at the hostel reception for the exact moonrise time during your visit.
We sometimes take guests to Chapadao on full moon nights. Ask on arrival if we have any group outings planned — it is one of Pipa's most memorable experiences.
How to Get There
Chapadao is about 1.3 km from No Worries Hostel — around 15–20 minutes walking south along Pipa's main road. Access is free. The final trail has some dirt sections; closed shoes are recommended especially at night.
No Worries Hostel: 100m from the main strip, 10min from the best beaches.
